4 Different Places For Injection Sites
Hey friends Dr. Oscar buzzing in with Diabetic Dani to tell you about different places you can take your insulin shots or place pump sites !
In the picture above Dr Oscar is giving Dani a shot in the arm. This is a very common place for shots or omnipods as you don’t have the tubing that you do with other pumps. The arm is second in line to absorb
Another place for injection sites is your tummy, or abdomen, when you give a shot here or place your site, the insulin will get absorbed the best in your tummy.
My daughter’s favorite place to place her pump site is her buttock, she’s told me it doesn’t get caught on things and has been the most comfortable for her, although it’s comfy for her, the buttock has the slowest absorption rate.
Another place to place sites or injections is the upper thigh, which is third in line for absorption.
