Hey friends Dr. Oscar buzzing in to help you get your bagged packed with the right supplies!

  1. An important item that a lot of people forget is to have a diabetic bracelet or something visible to let others know your diabetic in case of an accident.

  2. You should always have extra test strips available, even if you use a Continuous Glucose Monitor, your CGM reading and your tester reader will vary.

  3. Always bring your tester, hope that’s a given.

  4. You should always carry a small juice, granola bar, or glucose tabs in case of a low blood sugar.

  5. Extra insulin pump sets are a must if you use a pump, as we know sometimes technology malfunctions.

  6. If your not on an insulin pump, you should carry an insulated bag with an ice pack for your insulin and have extra syringes with you as well.
